Cross country is a sport in which students run races over natural terrains such as grass, dirt and hills. In elementary school, they typically cover distances up to one mile.
- Students in fourth and fifth grade can try out to join the team.
- Cross country takes place in the fall semester.
- Our team will compete against other elementary schools in the MNPS school district.
- Students must have an up-to-date physical form to participate.
Joining the cross-country team benefits students by improving their physical fitness, endurance and mental resilience. It also fosters a sense of belonging and support as students work together, set goals, persevere and provide each other with a sense of camaraderie and teamwork through training and competitions.
